DAVID WEISS DONATES $20K TO ELMER CAPITAL CAMPAIGN

VINELAND, NJ, April 16, 2008 – The South Jersey Healthcare (SJH) Foundation announced the donation of $20,000 from David Weiss to the “Building on Excellence” Capital Campaign for SJH Elmer Hospital. The presentation was made to Carolyn Heckman, Executive Director of the SJH Foundation by David Weiss, General Partner of Dempsey, Weiss & Associates Insurance of Elmer.

“Contributions from individuals like David Weiss allow SJH to continue to be the premiere healthcare provider in our region,” said Heckman. “This generous donation toward the Building on Excellence Capital Campaign for Elmer Hospital enables us to continue to provide excellence in medical care to the residents or our growing region.”

The SJH Foundation’s “Building on Excellence” Capital Campaign was instituted to help fund the expansion of the Emergency Room (ER) facilities and the addition of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine to the Radiology Department of SJH Elmer Hospital. The total cost of the project is projected at $6.9 million. Overall renovations will nearly double the size of the ER from 5,304 square feet to over 10,000 square feet. To date, the “Building on Excellence” campaign has received over $540,000 toward their $1.5 million goal.

“I believe it is important to be involved in improving the quality of life for the residents in South Jersey,” said Weiss. “By supporting the SJH Foundation, we can help provide our community with the most advanced healthcare services for years to come.”
