SOUTH JERSEY HEALTHCARE AUXILIARY HOSTS HIGH TEA CELEBRATION
VINELAND, NJ, May 22, 2007 – The South Jersey Healthcare (SJH) Auxiliary hosted a Mother-Daughter High Tea Celebration on Sunday, May 20 at the Running Deer County Club in Pittsgrove. Over 100 people attended the event celebrating daughters, mothers and grandmothers. Utopia Salon & Day Spa sponsored the event and provided beauty tips and gifts for all. Proceeds will benefit the South Jersey Healthcare Foundation.
“It was a great afternoon,” said Luanne Allen, President of the SJH Auxiliary. “This was a chance to relax and enjoy the company of other great women while raising money for the South Jersey Healthcare Foundation.”
Attendees enjoyed the celebration which featured soup, tea sandwiches, finger foods, tea, coffee, soft drinks and assorted desserts, as well as entertainment provided by harpist Andrea Chieffo, a senior at Vineland High School. Katherine Achee, a member of the SJHAuxiliary Board, also gave a talk onetiquette. While guests participated in activities and enjoyed the food, judges selected the best costumes from the crowd. Winners included Marianne Burgess and Valencia Ellis in the child category; Danielle Scarpa in the teenager category; mother, Daphne Felice and grandmother, Mary Jane Billings. The theme for best costume was “pearls”.
