SJH FOUNDATION HOSTS 7th ANNUAL FASHION SHOW AND FAIR

VINELAND, NJ, Oct. 24, 2008 – The South Jersey Healthcare (SJH) Foundation hosted its 7th Annual Fashion Show and Fair on Wednesday at Centerton Country Club in Pittsgrove. Over 300 people enjoyed a fashionable evening, supporting the Foundation’s mission of providing renewable financial resources for SJH and enhancing health care in southern New Jersey for generations to come. Century Savings Bank was the presenting sponsor for the second year in a row and all proceeds benefit the SJH Foundation.

“For the past six years, our Annual Fashion Show and Fair has been a premier fall event in the South Jersey region highlighting the latest trends for the season and this year was no different,” said Carolyn Heckman, Executive Director of the SJH Foundation.“Thanks to the support of sponsors like Century Savings Bank, our talented local models and many area clothiers and vendors, we were able to put on another truly unique event while contributing to the health care needs of our region.”

Guests had the opportunity to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and shopping prior to the show with 35 area businesses in the Fashion Fair. Shoppers browsed vendor tables for items including beauty supplies, housewares, jewelry, accessories, chocolates, wines and more. Everyone in attendance also had a chance to win door prizes and enter a 50/50 drawing, awarded at the end of the evening. Featured clothiers for the show included Alanna’s, Boscov’s, Caché, Juvante Formal Wear, Madrigal, Rienzi’s Bridal Salon, Rue 21, Tahari Collections, Brooks Brothers, Zinman Furs, Shimmer and Marshall’s.

Models that participated in the show were chosen at a Model Search on September 6, held at Lakeside Middle School in Millville. A representative from the Barbizon Modeling Agency and other judges from the community selected the finalists. More than 40 local men and women were chosen to model the clothes and accessories presented during the fashion show.
