SJH FOUNDATION 'CITY LIGHTS' BALL A SUCCESS

PHILADELPHIA, May 8, 2009 – Over 450 guests celebrated an evening in Philadelphia at the 2009 South Jersey Healthcare (SJH) Foundation “City Lights” Ball held at Loews Philadelphia Hotel on May 2. The SJH Medical Staff was the Evening Host and Dr. Thomas Dwyer and Vineland Mayor Robert Romano served as Ball Co-chairmen. The Ball included cocktails, dining and dancing featuring the David Christopher Orchestra. All proceeds from the event support South Jersey Healthcare.

“The Annual Ball brings Foundation supporters, the SJH staff, physicians, area businesses and community members together to raise needed dollars for health care in southern New Jersey,” said Carolyn Heckman, Executive Director of the SJH Foundation. “This year we were excited to provide an evening of entertainment for our guests at a great location in the city.”

“We are proud to have the SJH Regional Medical Center in Vineland and an excellent healthcare system serving our entire region.” said Romano. “It is through the generosity of our community and efforts of the Foundation that we have these services available and it is a privilege to support this special event for SJH.”

A custom-made 2.25 carat total weight diamond right hand ring in 18 karat white gold valued at $10,000 was the special door prize awarded to Jill Ojserkis. The ring was designed and donated by Caleb Soto of Desoto Jewelers.

“SJH Foundation events are outstanding and this year’s Ball was no exception,” said Dwyer. “I was honored to serve as Co-chair for the 2009 Ball and gather with so many others that continually support the SJH system.”
