The Deborah F. Sager Memorial Fund

I am writing to you today to ask for your help in making a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children, while honoring the memory of my daughter, Deborah F. Sager.
After Debbie passed in 1978, the Deborah F. Sager Memorial Fund (DFSMF) was established with monies raised from the nationally-recognized Newcomb Hospital Horse Show and the Atlantic City International Equestrian Festival that was produced by our family and close friends. Thirty three years later finds Debbie's fund still growing through donations and cumulative earnings. As a restricted fund within the South Jersey Healthcare (SJH) Foundation, only earnings can be used for the purpose of enhancing SJH's children's health care services.
We now have an incredible opportunity to name the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the SJH Regional Medical Center as the:

Going forward, earnings from the DFSMF will be restricted to support the needs of the neonatal and/or pediatric departments of SJH. Enclosed is information describing the critical capabilities of this vital Neonatal Unit. During my recent tour of the NICU, I was overwhelmed with the same strong sense of purpose that was originally intended for the Deborah F. Sager Memorial Fund. The equipment, services and health care professionals in this arena are charged with saving and improving fragile newborn lives every minute of every day. Naming this unit in honor of Debbie allows her spirit to live on and touch the lives of other children!

The initial pledge from the DFSMF to the Neonatal Unit is $250,000 to be paid over three years. We are well on our way to realizing this goal and we are asking for your help in raising the final $50,000 over the next three years. Making a donation is easy:
