VINELAND, NJ (May 12, 2011) – More than 450 supporters turned out to “Celebrate New Heights” at the Annual 2011 SJH Foundation Ball in Atlantic City on April 28. The Evening Host was the SJH Medical Staff, and Ball Co-chairs were Peter Galetto, Jr., Jane Galetto, David Galetto, M.D., David Kaufman, M.D., and John Ahrens, M.D. The Ball, held at the Trump Marina Casino Hotel, included cocktails, dining and dancing featuring The David Christopher Orchestra. All proceeds from the event support South Jersey Healthcare Foundation.

“SJH Foundation events are always phenomenal, and this year’s Ball was no exception,” said Peter Galetto. “It was an honor to serve as co-chair for the 2011 Ball and spend the evening with the many generous people who continually support the SJH system.”

“This year, we once again had an exciting evening at a great new venue in Atlantic City,” said Carolyn Heckman, Executive Director of the SJH Foundation. “The Annual Ball is the perfect opportunity for Foundation supporters, the SJH staff, physicians, area businesses and community members to come together in an effort to raise much needed funds for health care in southern New Jersey and to have a good time.”

In keeping with the “Celebrating New Heights” theme, a certificate for a hot air balloon ride, courtesy Del and Janet Blair, was the special door prize awarded to LuAnne Germanio of Bellplain, NJ.

“South Jersey Healthcare is an excellent health care system serving South Jersey,” said Dr. David Galetto. “Through the efforts of the foundation and the generosity of our community, we have outstanding medical services available. It is a privilege to support this special event for SJH.”

The SJH Foundation is the fundraising entity of SJH – a premiere health care provider in southern New Jersey with hospitals in Vineland, Elmer and Bridgeton and a regional cancer center in Vineland.
